STEREOPHONIC FT. PRINCESS POLLY
A few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of seeing Stereophonic (a nice little bday gift from Sean + his fam!). The play tells the story of the days, weeks, months, and years leading up to a band breakup and the ever-so-complicated relationships among its members. It’s rumored (pun intended) that the show is essentially a retelling of what went on with Fleetwood Mac in the late 70s. The monologues are entertaining, the music is fantastic (I can’t stop listening to it on Spotify), and the set seriously transports you to a California recording studio in 1976. It’s also about love, loss, and growing apart. I’d recommend seeing it in a heartbeat before it closes in January. With this in mind, I’ve been super inspired by 70s fashion as of late, and fall is always the best time to dress like Stevie Nicks, so this look was born out of both.
I started with 1/2 of the Mavie Satin Princess Polly Set— I love this vintage-looking vest top with lace that can be worn on its own (like here), or styled over a t-shirt. I paired it with dark jeans, and this really cool belt aptly named “Stevie” from Ayure. I tied the look together with crocodile boots, my Prada Tessuto, and oval sunnies.
