OCTOBER FAVORITES

This month reminded me of a couple things. One, that New York basically has one day of fall. And two, that I actually really love the month of October? It might be my second favorite next to September for obvious reasons. This month was super fun because we flew down to Austin, TX for Sean’s birthday. This was our first trip there, and we went with a group of friends for the best few days of live music, drinks and of course — incredible tacos. Constantly reminded that tacos in New York will never be the same. Check out my recap here for all my recommendations. 10/10 would go back, and soon! Now let’s get to it, here are some fashion, accessory and decor pieces I’ve been obsessing over this month.

Amazon Fashion Satin Corset — Ok, Amazon Fashion. What is upppppppp. Seriously how cute is this corset that I got for $10. Wore this to a dinner in Austin and loved how comfortable but trendy it was. I can’t wait to pair it over turtlenecks and other shirts for the colder months.

Abercrombie 90s Ultra High Rise Straight Jeans — I was in the market for a new pair of black washed jeans, and Abercrombie totally delivered. This pair is super comfy, not too stiff (like some jeans are) and pairs with everything from sweaters to bodysuits and more. Plus, the looser bottom looks great paired over a cowboy or combat boot.

DarlingJewleryStudio on Etsy Thick Gold Hoops — Big gold hoops never go out of style and I was looking for an under $50 pair that had a more expensive look. Found these on Etsy for $35 and I love how heavy yet elegant they look.

Leather Headband Set from Amazon Fashion — I feel like last year, velvet headbands were all the rage. And this year, I’m happy to report that I think these wide-banded leather ones (a la the 1960s) are taking their spot. I’ve been loving this set because they’re all my colors (brown, black, off-white) and they don’t make the back of your ears hurt.

Legiolia Candle Stick Holders + Black Candles from Amazon — Nothing like some black candles to add a spooky vibe to the apartment. What’s funny is I like the contrast so much that I may keep them into the holiday season! These candleholders are super cute, affordable and will travel with me to any apartment!

Rugs USA Cowhide Rug — With the recent addition of my new rug in the living area of my apartment (replacing the cowhide rug I had), I didn’t exactly want to kiss cowhide goodbye completely! So I picked up this smaller version (4x5) that sits in front of my dresser and slightly under my vanity table. I like the dimension, texture and angle it adds to whole room!
