OCTOBER FAVORITES
If you have any doubt that Halloween is my favorite holiday then please keep reading all my posts to get to know me a little more 😂. That being said, this is the first October that I didn’t feel as in spirit as I usually do with everything going on, but I made a lot more time to focus on what I could do: socially distant pumpkin-things and Halloween movie nights at home. I also go the opportunity to do a little travel this month, where Seanner and I drove up to see one of my best friends in Porstmouth, NH. I’d never been north of Boston, so I was pretty amazed by how cute the town up there really is (it legit reminds me of Diagon Alley but make it New England). We also spent a ton of time in Maine which was incredible, and I shared some photos at the bottom of this post of our little weekend — it was a safe, fun getaway and I hope to do something again soon just like it. Here’s what I’ve been digging this month, plus some fave purchases and a glimpse into my kitchen!
fashion
KENDALL + KYLIE Women’s Turtleneck Bodysuit — Ok, so I’ve never actually purchased a thing from any of the Kendall + Kylie collections mostly out of principle (sorry gals), but I thought this collab they did with Amazon Fashion was wickedly smart. Not to mention, I’ve had a recent obsession of adding tie-dye turtlenecks into my wardrobe lately (see here, and here lol), so I had to add it to my collection. Overall, I think it’s cute and I’ll definitely wear it for the fall/winter season, but I don’t think it’s worth $49 exactly. So will I be buying something else from this line? It’s a no from me, dawg, but I’m happy with this overall.
Cowhide Saddle Bag from the Trendy Line — This birthday gift to myself was one I’d buy over and over again. It’s SOOOOO cute and I wore it all throughout my trip to NH/Maine. The only maybe complaint about it is that it’s VERY tiny, but I really only carried my wallet and hotel key in there. Everything else (concealer, cheek color, lippie, Go-Pro, sanitizer and mask) went in my leather jacket pockets.
Ryan Porter Navy Tie Dye Mask + Silk Beige Mask — I’ve come to realize that getting a few cotton masks in my collection would be a good idea, particularly since I try to now work them into my outfit a little more. I have the Kitsch Masks, which I love, but wanted a few more options. Enter: these really cute babies from Ryan Porter. I love the contrasting tie-dye and this lighter silk version because they have a snug fit and feel really comfy on the face. For everyday errands, I opt for the Milan Masks from Evolve which are super breathable (Sean loves running in these ones!).
accessories
A Virgin Lit the Candle — This candle is sadly only available in September and October (you have one more day peeps!), but next time Halloween season rolls around I expect every Hocus Pocus fan to get it. It smells like sweet cinnamon, has the cutest branding, and let’s be honest, should only be lit yearly on Halloween!
Vintage Distillerie Italiane Poster from Society 6 — Finally, a little glimpse into my kitchen! I wanted something to separate the space from my living area, and I found this gorgeous vintage Italian drink poster that did just the trick. I got the largest size and paired it with a frame from Amazon and it perfectly fit over my kitchen island space. More to come soon, but for now I’ll say most of the rest of the stuff in this picture is from Amazon too (how cute is that toaster!)
Leaving you with a savage, Halloweeny quote from the bard:
'Tis now the very witching time of night,
When churchyards yawn and hell itself breathes out Contagion to this world.”
