When I was growing up, dressing up for the holidaze was simply everything. I would plan my Christmas Eve outfits days in advance — and immediately throw on any clothing gifts I got the minute I unwrapped them. That’s why now, I actually embrace the essence of being casual on these special days, but I always try to add a *little* festive flair so I don’t end up feeling like a Grinch in anyway whatsoever — and this is what I came up with for this year.

I started the look with the simple: dark grey ripped jeans and a jersey cream turtleneck I recently scored at Urban Outfitters. Next, I layered a Free People black embroidered smock that I picked up a few years ago overtop to add a little character, and paired it with this amazing BCBG fur jacket (similar here) I also got a while back. Finally, I wrapped it up with some killer white patent leather Doc’s and a vibrant red lip.
