BLACK MIRROR FEAT. ADIDAS
If I had to live out some crazy fashion-focused Black Mirror episode, it would be me trying to navigate my life wearing only athletic clothes. And it would be pretty comical. Athletic clothes and I, well, we just never got a long. I'm not sure if it had to do with the fact that I was never really good at that hand-eye coordination thing, or the fact that playing soccer and tennis as a child had me winded ten minutes in every practice (exercise induced asthma is a thing, people.) This was, at least, until I met these Adidas track pants.
Even though athletic-wear is something I never seek out, I really like the look and fit of these – and I had a killer time styling them in the most non-athletic way possible. I paired this with a sporty- Calvin Klein id Bralette, and threw on a white off the shoulder top on top. To wrap up the look and truly give it an unexpected pack of punch, I added a vintage handle bag, ornate choker, and my beloved Sam Edelman Yardley's. Because come on, did you guys really think I'd wear track pants like a normal gal? You know me better than that ;)
Also, I realized I don't think I've ever used this Shakes quote, and it's probably one of my favorites, so naturally I have to throw it in here:
"For any thing so overdone is from the purpose of playing, whose end, both at the first and now, was and is, to hold, as 'twere, the mirror up to nature; to show virtue her own feature, scorn her own image, and the very age and body of the time his form and pressure."
[Hamlet 3.2]
