MOUNTAIN SOUND FT. PRINCESS POLLY

January is always the longest, coldest month, and TBH, it’s sometimes a little unbearable. That’s why I always like to try to plan a little getaway to start up the year on the right foot, and this year, we headed up to Windham for just that. I’m not the biggest skier (lol hi Bunny Hill), but it’s one of Sean’s absolute favorite things to do, so we’ve gone up a couple of times the past few winters and it’s always a blast watching him show off his carving skills and listen to his slope stories at the end of the day. Meanwhile, I read, sit by the fire and yes, always try to get a massage, of course!

But it’s no trip to the mountains without Alanna finding the most NYC-type places to go to. We had some awesome dinners, one of which was at Scribner’s Lodge (pictured here), and ummm, if I lived up in the mountains, I’m pretty sure my house would look exactly like their property. To go along with the cozy theme, I went with this black and cream white outfit for a little bit of sophistication and so I could pass as an extra in the 1963 Pink Panther movie that takes place at a ski lodge in the alps (yes please). My top is this furry number from Cider, and I paired it with the skirt of this Princess Polly set. I went with some fleece lined tights (a must), these adorable Cherub hoops and black boots to wrap it up, plus a cozy Free People jacket I got ages ago. Bonus is this cutie brown fur hat also from Cider that really added to this 1960s ski lodge ensemble.

And that’s a wrap. Leaving you with a wintry quote from the Bard:

“In winter, with warm tears, I'll melt the snow, And keep eternal spring-time on thy face.”
