JUNE FAVORITES

What a pleasure it’s been, June! This month was super busy with lots of events, writing and a bit of travel! We headed down to Charleston, SC to watch one of my oldest friends get married — it was simply gorg and I’m obsessed with the dress I wore (more deetz to come on that). I picked up some cute and affordable fashion, accessory and home decor this month, so without further ado, here’s a run down of my faves!

FASHION

Amazon Fashion Women’s Ruffle Bodycon Mini DressGot this cutie summer dress with lace and bow details that I’ll probably style for one of my trips this coming summer. I love how the bottom is flowy, the middle is ruched, and the top has a cute square/peasant neckline. Can easily dress this one up with strappy heels, or keep it casual with espadrille platforms.

SXC Boutique Skirt (Princess Polly Dupe) Ok so I actually got this cutie lace skirt in Charleston at a boutique called SXC — I was super impressed with whoever is doing the buying for this store, everything was sooo cute. I’m also glad to have found them online — a lot of their pieces are on top of the lace, satin and bow trend and I’m so into them all. Like how cute is this satin bow dress? Anyway, I found this skirt for 50% off while I was there so I snagged it, and it’s the ultimate dupe of the Princess Polly Ayra Lace Mini Skirt! I love that this is a skort (so it has build in shorts) and how well it goes with pretty much any top in my closet. Obsessed!

ACCESSORIES + MICELLENEOUS

Charleston Old City Market Silver + Gold Bangle — Picked up this cute bracelet at the Charleston Old City Market — suchhhh a cool spot. So many unique vendors there (more on that later) and these bangles were under $20 and super chic. I added this one to my bracelet stack, and found this dupe on Amazon which is currently on sale!

Puffy Laptop Sleeve Set As a freelancer, it’s important I bring my laptop with me on trips JIC anything comes up (and truly… I don’t mind it at all!). This means I actually had to get a travel laptop case, which I haven’t had in years! Found this super cute set from Amazon, which comes with an extra pocket (that was perfect for storing my iPad), plus this smaller pouch that held all of my chargers and my digital camera. It made going through TSA so quick and I’m amazed I never did this before!

Retro Oval Sunglasses Amazon FashionI did it, I caved. I got these sunnies which I’ve been seeing ALL over IG and TT. Truly, they’re kind of a nice combo of my other types of glasses I have (oval + my Ray Bans for example), and I kind of love how they actually dress my look up a bit — for example, they went really well with the metallic gown I wore to the wedding. 10/10!

Charleston Old City Market Butterfly in Glass — This shouldn’t surprise you, but I’ve been looking for a butterfly in glass for a while. I still am interested in getting one that sits in a glass cloche, but for now, this will do. There was a stand at the Charleston City Market with this guy who preserves these babies in glass — and they were all so beautiful and vibrant. This one drew my eye immediately, goes well with our apartment, and of course, is a tribute to Lindsey. Here’s an Etsy shop that sells similar ones!

A quote that reminded me a lot of this past trip:

“Those friends thou hast, and their adoption tried, grapple them unto thy soul with hoops of steel.”
