FEBRUARY FAVORITES

For some reason this short month felt pretty long IMO. Not sure if it’s because it was sunny and 60 on a couple days, or cause work events have really started to pick up, or cause it was NYFW somehow, too, — either way, it’s felt like a super long one. This month was fun and challenging for me in a lot of different ways. I went back to my childhood home to clean out some things and was thrown into a fit of nostalgia looking back at old yearbooks, old fashion items (lol) and more importantly, some really amazing old photos with Lindsey (not to mention I found some trinkets she gave me throughout the years, too). Here, I’m sharing some of my favoooorite things from this month, as per the drill!

FASHION

Cider Graphic Sweater I have a lot of sweaters in my collection but they all have one thing in common: solid colors. Believe it or not I don’t think I’ve actually owned a graphic knit sweater (maybe a Forever 21 piece one time?!), not for any particular reason, but just haven’t. This one totally caught my eye. TBH, I have no idea what this graphic REALLY is, but to me it looks like some crazy angel wings, flowers and scorpions which is pretty cool. I love this particular cut as well because it can be super cute tucked into jeans or worn on its own over some tights as a dress.

Nasty Gal Faux Leather Western Knee High BootsI got these for Christmas and realized that I never included them in my January favorites round up but totally meant to. Here they are now in all their glory, lol. I’m actually totally loving them though because they’re a lot more comfortable than they look and super high-quality, too. I also feel like they’re season-neutral, which is amazing too. Winter, spring or fall, I’ll be wearing them non-stop.

ACCESSORIES

Neutral Amazon Fashion Headband Set On the quest to add more headbands to my headband collection (lol do I really need any more, I ask myself while writing this), I spotted this cute set on Amazon. I photographed just a few of the hues here but it also comes with a cream and black headband as well. They’re decent quality for their price, and I also love the padded, wool look.

Mod + Jo Cherub HoopsAKA, the ultimate Valentine’s day jewelry option! I actually asked for these for VDay and Sean delivered (thank you S!), and I’m thrilled I did. They’re not too big or bulky but not small enough to the point where you can’t tell what they are either. Love when jewelry has a fun, unique detail like these and it definitely pays homage to my love for Renaissance art, too!

Daily Dose Pill Case I was in the market for a new travel pill case that didn’t look too obvious or like a lego set (lol). This discreet one hits the nail on the head and is perfect for only $12! If you’re in the market for a new one, definitely recco this! I will say though that the little pill buckets are a little small, but I love basically everything else about it.

My final favorite are these. Plain and simple. Just a few of the dozens of photos Lindsey and I took throughout the years that I found during the visit to my childhood bedroom. The two on the left were taken at a dinner at the Sagamore in Lake George, the second to the right was taken at a hibachi dinner (there were always many), and the farthest right was from our trip to Harry Potter World in Orlando. I’m so happy I have these and so many more. Each one a little snapshot into these moments that I’ll remember viscerally and tangibly every time I glance at them. It goes without saying: always take the photo, the video, no matter how annoying it seems, no matter how many people cringe when it flashes, no matter how precarious, or no matter what. Lindsey taught me to always take the photo, and for forever, I will.
