SEPTEMBER FAVORITES

September will always be my favorite month (ok, I’m biased because it’s my birthday), but it’s the perfect mix of summer and fall, and in my opinion, it’s the month that fashion gets really exciting again! It kicked off with none other than NYFW of course, and kept going with some exciting events with my friends, and finally my birthday. I’m really grateful to have had such a wonderful month and I’m super excited for all things fall (and spooky szn!). Here, I’m sharing my favorite gifts and purchases of September — let’s get into it.

Brown Knitted Cropped Scalloped Shrug Sweater — This was probably the coolest, most thoughtful gift I got for my birthday from my friend’s sister who crochets. I couldn’t wait to style it and have officially been wearing it since I got it. Linking similar picks here from UO or here, but nothing comes close to handmade piece. This will be something I’ll style for years to come and it’s the perfect transitional season sweater.

ACCESSORIES

Prada Nylon Tessuto Gaufre Shoulder Bag — Introducing the birthday gift I gifted myself! (With a little help from my parents and Sean — thank you to both). I snagged this pick from Fashionphile as soon as I saw it going for a discounted price, and I got pretty lucky because although it’s a secondhand pick, it was in pristine condition! I’m looking to slowly but surely expand my designer bag collection and this was a perfect addition, and my first Prada bag! Obsessed, and can’t wait to style it into the fall and winter for months to come.

Vintage-Inspired Leaf Earrings — Another super stunning gift I received for my birthday — these gorgeous earrings. Big, bold metal jewelry is back and I’m so here for it! I love these particularly because they sort of have an art-deco twang and they’d look super cute with anything, from jeans to a cocktail dress. Amazon White Rosette Choker — Love this cutie flower choker I wore for my birthday look! I love that it’s big and dramatic, and can be paired with a blouse, corset or dress for just a little extra something. (It’s not self-tanner body gloss proof so I do have to give it a wash post-birthday festivities, but it’ll do!)

Amazon Home Beige Taper Candles — Decided to switch up my typical black candle vibe in the apartment this season, and found these really pretty tapered beige sticks and I’m obsessed. They also come in a ton of other colors and were super affordable — $10 for a pack of 5! PS: Don’t mind my dusty AF koi candle holder (LOL).
