CHARADE FEAT. NASTY GAL

If you’ve never seen the 1963 Audrey Hepburn + Cary Grant classic, Charade, this is your sign to do so. It’s a super fun story about a woman caught up in the crossfire of her ex-husbands and current lover’s dilemmas — leaving her on the run. While this movie definitely has its questionable moments, it’s such a pleasure to watch (it actually has 94% on Rotten Tomatoes!), of course the best part about it is that it takes place in Paris, and Hepburn’s wardrobe is impeccable. I had her chic looks in mind (even when she’s living out of a hotel room in this story, she looks great) while putting together this look on my recent vacay to Lake George, and I’m loving it. It’s a little sixties (corset bodice, oval glasses, diamond necklace) with a twenty-twenty-one twist (cowhide printed skirt anyone?!) and I think Hepburn would rock this had the film taken place now.

I started with this Ruched Satin Bodysuit from Danielle Bernstein’s line (on major sale now!), and paired it with this Cow Printed Ruched Mini Skirt from Nasty Gal. Next, to give it a little edge I paired it with this black cropped denim jacket and black strappy sandals. Brown oval glasses (from Amazon!) plus a diamond necklace and my Fendi Mini Double F completed the look.

So. good!

Leaving you with a Shakespeare nugget to take with you today —
