I cannot believe we’re already here. May has been chock full of work, revelations and gratitude. #Shotgirl summer is just about here and I’m feeling all kinds of ways — mostly, excited to actually dress up everyday from here on out again? (Fingers crossed!) I may a couple fun purchases this month and restocked on some bathing suits (believe it or not I still have swimwear from like 2017 😳!) Needless to say, styles have changed so I’m happy I got my hands on some 2021 options, and I’m also excited to say that I’m starting to dress a little more out of my comfort zone again (hello resin rings?!) — so all feels well (and back to normal!) Here are some for-summer purchases I’ve been loving this month.

FASHION + SWIMSUITS

Nasty Gal Halter Bandeau O Ring Leopard Bikini Set — I’ll be honest here, I’m not one to wear an animal print bathing suit. But when I saw this one, I was immediately enamored by the colors and style. While this one is traditionally tied at the front, I think I’ll play around with the straps and criss-cross them across my chest. TBD, but for $21, I couldn’t say no to this one.

Nasty Gal Cut Out High Leg Bikini Top + Zaful Black Ribbed Bikini Bottom — Ok so here’s the story with this little number. I originally ordered the linked set, and while the tie bottoms are super cute — they were quite small. In fact, so small, that I was pretty hesitant to keep them. Here’s what I did: went on Amazon, looked for a less-cheeky black ribbed bottom to match this top and I found one within 0.5 seconds. It literally looks like it’s part of the set so I went for it, and I know my future self (who will be laying at a pool or on a boat) will thank me later.

Amazon Fashion V Neck Ruched Top — Sooooo cute right? This one looks exactly like a lot of tee’s I’ve seen bloggers on my feed wearing time and time again. Best part is that it was only $17, and I’m really impressed with how soft the fabric is.

Vince Camuto Graceny Flatform Sandal — Ok I am sooooo lucky I ordered these when I did back in April cause they are currently mostly sold out 😰. If you want them, definitely keep tabs on the page because they are so worth every dollar. They’re very easy to walk in, match literally everything, and have a little bit of that Y2k pizazz that I feel like everyone is going for this summer. My only complaint was a few “shoebites” (as my dad calls them) from the straps, so I’d recommend having blister bandaids at the ready.

Colorful Resin Rings from Amazon — So I really wouldn’t consider myself a plastic or jelly jewelry type of girl, which is why I’m surprised at myself for getting these! Having worn them a few times, now, though, I actually love how fun and retro they look. Highly rec if you’re looking to spice up your everyday summer jewelry this year.

Fur Dopp Kit (Gifted) — This super cute dopp kit landed in my mailbox this past month (with Fur’s new Trimmer) and I can’t wait to use it as my summer skincare makeup bag when we head out of town. It’s super durable, fits a ton of stuff and the color is just everyyyyyything.
