APRIL FAVORITES
Another month flyingggggg by. Some good things that I’ve dabbled in the past few weeks: got my first vaccine (YAY, even though side effects were miserable — long story as to why for another time..), got to finally wear biker shorts outside (I see you 70 degree days), and explored my neighborhood a whole bunch. It took me about 2.5 years of living on the Upper East Side to follow some UES Instagram accounts for some reason, and they’re my new favorite accounts for when I’m trying to find happy hour or something new nearby. My best discoveries from these accounts have been two places that have easily become my go-tos over the weekends: NR, for cocktails + dinner, or Black Star Bakery for Sunday breakfast. Sooooo good. Ahead, find some of my favorite fashion + misc purchases/faves this month of APRIL (can’t believe it’snearly over!)
FASHION
Abercrombie & Fitch Lounge Line Bralettes + Matching Leggings — So I wanted to pick up some transitional sets that would be good for springtime (and fall!), and I stumbled upon these cozy pieces from A&F. Let’s just say I got one and thought it was so good that I had to get another color: first the light grey, then I got the tan. I’m obsessed, they’re so comfy and perfect for working from home. 10/10 recommend.
Amazon Fashion Tie Crop Top — We get it Alanna you’re really influenced by everything you see on Instagram. While a) this is true, b) I wanted to get a casual-yet-can-be-dressed-up little cardigan and this did just the trick. Excited to pair it over tanks, bralettes and maybe even swimsuits as we move into summer!
Pearl Claw Clip (Gifted) – I never really saw myself as a claw-clip kinda chick, so I was hesitant to try this one out when I received it in a mailer. It’s so cute and totally matches my vibes, though, so I decided to test it in a half-up-half-down style this past month. I love how it ended up looking, and this just might foray me into more claw clip styles (although I have too much hair to really use it properly!) Can’t find this one online, so here’s a similar one from UO!
Emilie Heathe Candle in Calmez Vous (Gifted) – Another gifted fave, but I couldn’t resist. This super stunning candle isn’t only addictive in scent, but in aesthetic, too. I always love to have a candle burning every evening to help chill me out for the night and I’d strike this one over and over again!
Airpod Pros + Silicone Amazon Case – A big purchase this month, but well worth it. My airpods have been with me since 2019 and officially konked out these past few weeks. I basically lost all connection in one of them, and the other would cut out whenever I picked up a phone call (annoying!!!). I took the leap and upgraded to Pros – which let me say have the wildest noise cancellation I’ve ever experienced (seriously, how do they do that?) – and got this cute beigey-pink case to match. Fun fact, I really liked the gold keyring on my other airpod case, so I swapped it out and used it on this one! (Old case was from Target’s line, Heyday).
And that’s all she wrote for April. Leaving you guys with one of my favorites from the Bard:
“The web of our life is of a mingled yarn, good and ill together: our virtues would be proud, if our faults whipped them not;
and our crimes would despair, if they were not cherished by our virtues.”
