FEBRUARY FAVORITES

IMG_8645.jpg

What a strange yet satisfying month it’s been. First off, I cannot believe we’re coming up on a year of the pandemic. It’s incredibly wild to think about what we’ve all gone through in these soon-to-be last twelve months, and that time has somehow simultaneously flown by AND taken forever. I’m thankful we’re seeing the light at the end of the tunnel by this point, but man, what a surrealistic experience it’s been. February was also another month with NYFW, and as I couldn’t help but realize how much of that I took for granted each season. Part of me misses it, but part of me also feels satisfied that I’ve been able to slow everything down. Another bizarre feeling. Second, this month has been satisfying in the sense that I got a little time outside of NYC and took a three-day trip up to the Catskills for the first time ever. I’ve been to the Catskill area before, but only for day trips or passing through. Sean and I stayed at a little hotel + bar called Eastwind. This luxe little spot is most well known for its chic cabin stays in A-Frame huts, but we decided to opt for a room at the main lodge area. The stay was super nice, totally contactless (except for when dining in their mid-century modern bar area, of course), and let’s just say I wanted to unscrew their waterfall shower and bring it back to NYC with me (#sorrynotsorry). Oh, I also made it down my first green and survived, so that was pretty cool. Ahead, I’m sharing things I’m loving this month + some pics from the little getaway.

Missguided Camel Knit Crop Cardigan + Camel Knit LeggingsI have been still working from home these days, so the investment in comfortable loungewear continues! This super cute set from Missguided has been a favorite of mine to wear at home, and I love mixing and matching the top and bottom with other pieces in my wardrobe. I actually have the pants in another color too and they’re the coziest thing to sleep in. Would highly rec if you want a practical but cute at-home set.

Urban Outfitters Mittens (Similar Here) — I, too, was #influenced by mittens this past month, so I picked up these cute camel-colored ones from UO. They’re incredibly warm and are the perfect cozy touch to any look. Looooooove.

Stasher Reusable Silicone BagOk, so I first saw these cute silicone pouches at Target in the tupperwear aisle (I know, I sound #OLD). I then realized that UO also sells them that very week, so after seeing them two times in a matter of a few days, I had to see what was up. They’re technically made to store anything — snacks, jewelry, makeup — and I was in the market for a new small pouch to keep stuff in for our little trip. I got three: one I keep IN my makeup bag, another for jewelry and the last to actually use as a snack bag and I’m obsessed. Best part, they’re dishwasher safe or you can clean them with dish soap!

Twisted Candles from Rock This OutOk you guys I know I fell for the ridiculous modern art squiggly candles that people are selling for upward of $40!!!! The good news is I’m not psycho enough to pay that much for a candle, so I found these super affordable options from Etsy. At $12 each, I picked up the Snake in Rust, and Tall Twirl in Cream. They make for a great addition to my new side table which brings me to my next fave…..

Renata Side Table UO Fiiiiinalllyyyy got a small table for this tiny nook in my apartment! The distance from the couch to the wall is literally twelve inches, so I had a pretty small space to work with. I also wanted something I could slide over my couch when I work on my laptop, and this one hit both of my asks! The rounded gold finish also picks up other details in the space like my barcart, gold bamboo magazine rack and shelves. Such a good find and it was under $100.

Godinger Dublin Cocktail ShakerI was in desperate need of a good cocktail shaker (the one I bought down the street at Ace Hardware when I first moved in did not cut it), and I kept seeing this super cute one on Instagram! It does just the trick, is pretty to look at and really goes with the retro color story in my kitchen (rose gold, marble, green glass, black).
