MAY FAVORITES
Lots of big moments this month, from moving into my new apartment, to having my first socially-distant outing w Seanner in the park — it’s been an interesting month. What’s more interesting is the race to furnish my apartment which was nearly empty for most of May because of Covid-19 backorders. Luckily, I’m proud to say I have a bed (from my previous apartment), a brand new kitchen island (looking @ you, Ikea), a pretty glass TV stand, art deco lamp, cowhide rug and a couch! Waiting on the final touches before I post some tours, but lets just say it’s exciting to see it come all together. Here’s what I’ve been reaching for a ton this month.
accessories + beauty
Black Croc Leather Bag — Although my outings have been minimal (to and from Sean’s car, the grocery store, and for walks by Central Park), this little bag has been my go-to. Maybe it’s just me but it feels a little weird walking around with a full-on “look at me” kind of purse these days, so I love that this one is simple and discreet. I actually purchased this from Missguided, but SHEIN has the same exact one linked above!
Face Masks by KITSCH — This darling hair brand just dropped cotton masks that are cute, comfortable (read: don’t tug weird at your ears), and breathable. I was fortunate enough to get my hands on the Leopard Piece set and I’ve been wearing these two (plus the plain black one) non-stop.
Starry Headbands — So I’ve become a headband wearer this quarantine — sue me. I love these two I picked up from Amazon Fashion. Couldn’t find the same ones (they appear to have vanished from the seller I bought them from), but linked similar/nearly the same ones. They’re cute and they make me feel a little more dressed up even if I’m just wearing biker shorts and a tee.
INNBeauty Project Glaze #2 Berry — IDK about you all but my skin, hair and nails have been extra dry this quarantine (could be stress). To keep my lips happy I’ve been reaching for this luscious glaze. It’s literally like wearing a non-sticky insides of a jelly donut on your mouth and I love it.
HOME + DECOR
Pampas Grass — Pampas!!! I thought I may be allergic to this (lol), but so far so good. It’s pretty, light, airy and very affordable — I got 60 pieces for $25. This vase is in my living area, and I have two smaller ones in my bedroom and bathroom. I loooove.
Cowhide Pillow — Cowhide is certainly becoming a prevalent theme in my apartment, and I’m obsessed with these pillows I got on Amazon for my bedroom. They go gorg with my rug and are so so affordable. If you want to incorporate cowhide into your room, buy these!
CB2 Ribbed Glass Soap Dispenser, Toothbrush Holder + Canister — I knew I wanted a matching accessory set in my bathroom that looked and felt heavy, vintage and elegant, and when I laid eyes on this Ribbed Glass set from CB2, I just knew it was the one. I got these three pieces that I’m totally loving and would highly rec them if you’re looking for something similar. They’re worth every penny!
