APRIL FAVORITES

FullSizeRender-1.jpeg

This past spring I’ve been a lot more adventurous with my style and decor choices, and I think my favorites for this month reflect that really nicely. I’ve also been reflecting on the use of social media, blogging and all that jazz in my life. I’m proud to say that I’ve never been happier using these tools because I’ve been putting a lot less pressure on myself to constantly ‘gram or story. For me, it’s all about preserving memories and moments: whether it garners 50, 100 likes — doesn’t matter, I’m happy creating my own story. As far as style stuff, here’s what I’ve been obsessing over.

Holly Half Puffed Sleeves Top by Storets This spring I was in search of a work-appropriate top that I could pair under spaghetti straps, overalls or dresses, so I was so pumped when I found this one. It’s so comfortable, goes with literally everything and I can’t wait to pair it with so many different styles.

Spctcl Broadway Sunglasses I was contacted by the shop owner of this cute sunglass boutique to try out a pair of glasses, and I was completely enamored when I stumbled upon these. Not only did I wear them the entirety of Easter weekend, I actually am so pumped to pair them with beachy outfits and swimsuits this summer. I was also really impressed with the quality of these — they’re really sturdy with nice lenses and well worth $24.

Labra by CB2Inspired to refresh my apartment this Spring, I took a little trip to CB2 and got a few things I wanted to share. First up is this really cute candelabra I found on sale that matches the acrylic details in my room. I haven’t gotten sticks for it yet, but I can’t wait to burn a few and feel real fancy while doing so.

Hobnail Candle/ Plant Holder CB2 (similar here) — I also scored a few of these crystal candle holders on sale at CB2, and instead of using them properly, I decided to let them be the home of a few of my baby cacti. They give a ton of texture and dimension to the plants that fit perfectly in my space.

I leave you with some food of thought at the end of this April:

“How bitter a thing it is to look into happiness through another man's eyes!” (Probs what Shakes would say about social media today).
