STRIKING FORTUNE WITH ASOS
There's something to be said about old black and white movies. If you've read my blog for a while, you'll know that my guilty pleasures consist of owning too many lipsticks (#sorrynotsorry) and watching black and white murder mysteries on repeat. A staple character you often come across in those films is always some older, gypsy fortune teller that happens to prophesies exactly what will happen to the main protagonist or two by the end of the film. I'm always so fascinated by these sages because not only do I find the concept of those characters to be very (ahem) Shakespearian, I also think bringing in elements of the supernatural and astrological add another layer of suspense and depth to these stories.
To celebrate this archetype, I threw on what's probably going to be my favorite dress of the season: this ASOS Star Glitter Mini Dress. What you don't know, is that I actually found it at a thrift store for, 9, yes, you read that right, NINE dollars. Originally priced at $77, and relatively new, I am thanking my lucky stars (pun intended lol) to whoever decided to give this gorgeous piece away apparently not too long after purchasing it. It just flows super nicely, fits me impeccably (HOW?!) and pairs great with a set of heels or even some casual Adidas, shown here. I finished the look off with my typical Ray Bans, and this Rebecca Minkoff bag I have not been able to live without this past year.
