ROSE PLAY WITH AFFORDABLE 'VALENTINO'

*Disclaimer: This post is in part gifted by Tees and Tank You. All opinions are my own*

Roses are perhaps one of the most common literary symbols of all time... and have showed up everywhere from Romeo and Juliet, to songs, to The Bachelor (LOL). And, they're perhaps the most metaphorical flower to exist -- they smell and look sweet, but hide thorns. Personally, I've never been a huge fan of flowers all together (#allergies), but I always find rose symbolism and graphics on clothing extremely attractive, delicate and moreover, mysterious. You're never gonna know what kind of 'rose' you'll get, and that uncertainty is pretty cool. Just some food for thought.

You're probably thinking by the title, where in the world is she wearing Valentino in this look? So to be clear, I'm not! But I am wearing a slick pair of beige scalloped shorts that closely mimic this Valentino pair, and I picked these babies up at Marshall's. That's right, Marshall's! What's ironic about this is that I typically don't shop at Marshall's for clothes often at all, but sometimes, you can really find a gem if you look hard enough. Call me crazy, but I also kind of like the folds in these shorts -- it gives the look a ton more dimension and makes the fabric look really movable in a way. I paired these delicate babes with another delicate shirt I've been loving from Tees and Tank Youtheir Double Rose Mock Neck Tank in white. I'll be honest, I was hesitant about the fit of this top when I first received it from the TATY team, but was ecstatically surprised to see how nicely it formed to my shape and paired so well with these shorts. Another bonus: it's super comfy. I finished off the look with cork wedges, my favorite Ray-Bans, and of course, Kylie's matte lipstick in 22

"What’s in a name? That which we call a rose, by any other word would smell as sweet."
