JANUARY FAVORITES
January!! What a (long) month it’s been. 2020 has been off to a very high and very low start. I kicked off this month with getting back into the groove with work and had some really great highs from my trip to Florida with Matrix for work. We attended Destination 2020 which was super cool, and we even got to go to Universal and Harry Potter World (my fav place) for an afternoon. Some lows: I’ve been sick a ton this month (probably thanks to the traveling / chronic sinusitis I can’t seem to kick!) and of course, we’re ending January with some terrible world-wide events, as well as some loss close to me. Hoping February is a little happier, lighter and softer on the soul. Without further ado, here’s what I’ve been loving this past month.
fashion
UO Dragon Sateen Mini Slip Dress — I wore this little number over a black turtleneck to a recent work event (see here!), and love love loved how it looked. It’s a really comfortable little dress and easy to throw over a tee, sweater or mock neck. Not to mention, the pattern is everything.
OMKAGI Bathing Suit from Amazon Fashion — When I tell you I’ve literally been seeing this bathing suit all over my Insta feed, I’m not kidding. I really think every blogger has it! I brought this with me down to Orlando and was so happy I got to wear it and catch some rays. It’s really comfortable, has a cute high-waist and is literally less than $25!
accessories + beauty !!
Gold Chain Belt (similar here) — So I’m one of those people who somehow finds things in what I already own, and this chain belt was one of them. This chain is actually part of a bag I bought from TJ Maxx like ages ago. I took it off the bag and now wear it as a belt. Easy and now I don’t have to go buy one to keep up with the trend.
Orange Netted Bag — I’ll be totally honest with you, my co-editor got this in a PR package — but I’m literally obsessed and it’s by far the cutest thing I’ve come to own in January this year. I can’t wait to use this when I’m headed to the beach over the summer cause it’s perfect for the ‘gram.
INNBEAUTY Project Down to Tone — So a couple of years ago when I got my job as a beauty editor, I stopped writing beauty on this blog. Simply cause, you can go read my beauty writing elsewhere. I wanted to bring it back here and there in 2020 though for anything interesting, and this new brand I stumbled upon fit the bill. INNBEAUTY Project is the ultimate Gen Z brand that I’m loving as of late — and their products are just as good as how cute they are. Check em out, for realz!
Happy Feb!
